Activities for the academic year 2022-23

• Basic Electronics – Introduction to electronics components program was conducted by Department of computer Science on 26/11/2022 for the benefit of our I B.Sc. Computer science students.
• Aptitude test was conducted for I B.Sc students on 25/11/2022
• As a part of skill development course, 30 hours course on “Photoshop” was conducted by the department for B.Sc. students from 31/10/2022  Beneficiaries-21 students
• Resume writing , preparation for competitive exam and campus placement training was conducted on  4/11/2022 by Srikantha M  Beneficiaries-31 Final B.Sc. students
• As a part of skill development course, 30 hours course on “Mobile App Development” was conducted by the department for B.Sc. students from 10/11/22 Beneficiaries-22 students
• Open House was conducted on 26/11/2022. Highlights of the exhibition by Computer department

• UiPath Volunteering Session on " Sales in Technology" was conducted by  Mr. Jeevan Kaneti, Test Suite Solution Engineer, UiPath on  20th January  2023,

• Students of Batch 2021-2022 of the Computer Science Department (III BSc) are made a portfolio. For learning and making projects in computer science related subjects include Web Application, Python programming, IOT etc. 30 Interested students participated in this project to improve  their skills and do something productive.( Portfolio is a platform which consists of mini and major projects done by our students.)
• SELL IT WELL Competition was conducted for students on 04-03-2022.

• Photoshop Certificate course was conducted by 1st B.Sc Students

• Shihas of 3rd B.Sc delivered a talk on "Cyber Security" to I B.COM students. on 16/02/2022

• Sanskrit department conducted awareness programme in Baraha Kannada Softeware on 10 and 17 February 2022.

• Department Conducted  Collage, Poster Making  and  video competition  for all BSc students on 28/1/2022.

• Tools and Technology for Indic Languages National Webinar was conducted by Dr . Guru Prasad Rao , Founder ,Kanaada Phonetics Pvt. Ltd, Bangaluru on 16/10/2021
  
• Aptitude test for Beginners(1st Years) was conducted on 23/11/2021.

Department of Computer Science was conducted the certificate courses for B.Sc. Students.

• Conducted online aptitude test for 2^nd and 3^rd B.Sc on 3/12/2021 and 6/12/2021 respectively.

• Conducted seminar for I, II, III Year B.Sc. students from 1-12-2021 to 22-12-2021.

• Conducted Collage competition on a topic “Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning” for B.Sc students on 23/7/2021
• TECHNICAL TALK: Topic " WHAT NEXT ONCE YOU JOIN THE CORPORATE WORLD" by Ms. Anjana, Associate analyst (Quality Engineer) Deloitte Consulting USI.

• Conducted poster making competition on a theme “HOLOGRAPHIC TECH” for   B.Sc. students on 5/6/2021.

•  Conducted video play competition “COVID-19 and Technology trends” for  B.Sc. students on 1/6/2021.

•  Conducted Computer quiz competition for   B.Sc. students on 29/5/2021

• 10 students participated webinar on “How to get placement in multinational companies” on 4/4/2021 conducted by IIT Mumbai.
• Conducted video lecture on various topics from  18/1/2021 to 22/1/2021.

• Akanksh and Shihas of III BSc have got second prize in Science model competition held at St Aloysius College, Mangalore on 23/3/2021.

• IT-Quiz competition was conducted on 12-1-2021 for B.Sc students.
• As a part of skill development “Mobile App Development” certificate course was conducted by the department for B.Sc students from 27-10-2020 beneficiaries 27.
• As a part of skill development “Python programming ” certificate course was conducted by the department for B.Sc students from 30-7-2020 Beneficiaries 48.
• As a part of skill development certificate course “Web Development” was conducted by the department for 2nd B.Sc students from 28-7-2020- beneficiaries 30.
• Aptitude test was conducted for I B.Sc. students on 12/10/2020.
• Organized National level online quiz programme on “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics” on  31^th August 2020 at  10 AM.
• To check the computer knowledge of the students Aptitude test was conducted for I B.Sc. students on 12/10/2020

Student achievements :

• Achiever in Mobile Macro Photography by Mr. Laxmisha III B.Sc.

• Mr. Virendra, Final year B.Sc. Student has made “Automatic hand Sanitizer machine” and he was felicitated by Swamiji.

• 39 students participated “AI and Robotics “ Webinar conducted by IIT Mumbai.
• 28 students participated “Java Script in Kannada“ programme conducted by MicroDegree Bangalore

Student Activities:

• Department level competition  was conducted on 29-1-2020.  15 teams had completed mini projects on “Web page design and development”.

• Guest Talk on “SOCIAL NETWORK ANALYSIS” by Dr.Vasudeva, Dean and Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology Bantakal on 20-09-2019    

• Basic Electronics – Introduction to electronics components program was conducted by Department of computer Science on 16/07/2019 for the benefit of our I B.Sc. Computer science students.

• To check the computer knowledge of the students Aptitude test was conducted for I B.Sc. students on 12/7/2019 & 13/7/2019.
• To check the computer knowledge of the students Aptitude test was conducted for III B.Sc. students on 31/7/2019 & 1/8/2019.
• Wall Poster activity was conducted for I BSC students on various computer related topics on 22/7/2019.
• As a part of skill development course, 15 days course on “Photoshop” was conducted by the department for I^st BSc students from 2-7-2019 .

• As a part of skill development certificate course “Web Development” was conducted by the department for 2nd BSc students from 27-6-2019.
• As a part of skill development course, 15 days course on “Phyton Programming” was conducted by the department for 3^rd  BSc students from  29-7-2019 .                                                                                           
• Aptitude test preparation for IT companies was conducted by Srikantha M, Dept of computer science on 18/08/2019
• State level Workshop on IOT Applications was conducted in association with IoT team, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology Bantakal on January 11th 2020.

• As a part of skill development course, 15 days course on “Photoshop” was conducted by the department for Ist BSc students from 12-7-2018 .    
• Conducted Video Lecture on “MACHINE LEARNING”, on 7th August 2018.
• Conducted article writing for Ist  BSC students on  “Recent technologies in computer“.
• Conducted “ Aptitude test and CV preparation” for final year B.Sc. students on 9-10-2018

• Conducted seminar competition on the topic Computer Technologies on 10-1-2019.
• As a part of skill development certificate course “Web Development” was conducted by the department for 2nd BSc students from 2-1-2019.

• Data analysis in Excel workshop was conducted for M.Com with the help of commerce department from 02-02-2019 to 5-2-2019.

• Guest Lecture Topic "MODERNIZATION & TECHNOLOGY" by Mr.Shivaprasad K. Senior Manager Applications, Primary Industries Ltd, Manipal. held on 9th March 2019 

Activities for the academic year 2017-18

• Guest Talk on “Image Processing ” was organized on 24-06-2017. Mr. Sudhanva Bhat, Btech, MTech,  IIT Madras  was the resource Person.

• Basic Electronics – Introduction to electronics components program was conducted by Department of computer Science on 23/062017 and 24/06/2017  for the benefit of our I B.Sc. Computer science students.

• As a part of skill development course, 15 days course on “Web Design” was conducted by the department for all Final year students.

• As a part of skill development course, 15 days course on “Photoshop” was conducted by the department for all students.

• Baraha- Kannada software Training Programme conducted with the help of Sanskrit department from 03-07-2017.

• Software certificate course on “R Programming” for B.Sc(Statistics) students was conducted by Prof. Gopal Gokhale, Department of Statistics in collaboration with Department of  Computer Science.

• Outreach Programme conducted by Anjana, Maithri k, shinmitha, Rajeshwari of  Ist BSc at ST. Cecily’s English higher primary school, udupi on 30-11-2017.

• Outreach Programme conducted by K M Menaka of  Ist BSc at Board High school, udupi on 2-12-2017.

• To check the computer knowledge of the students Aptitude test was conducted for I B.Sc. students on 22/6/2017
• Kavya R Kamath of Ist BSc has participated in the Shayadri Conclave-2018 held from 6-10^th January at Sahyadri Engineering College Mangalore.
• Student interaction programme was conducted with Mr.Shivaram regarding information about possible courses after B.Sc on 14/7/2017.

• Adithya M and Prithviraj Suvarna of 2^nd BSC won second prize in Web designing in Annual IT Fest Techno-Tarang-2018 organised by Vivekananda College, Puttur on 31^st January 2018.

• Sheshachala Karanth of 2^nd BSC won second prize in IT Model in Annual IT Fest Techno-Spark-2018 organised by St. Philomena College, Puttur on 14^th February 2018.
